Dr. Grunwald is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. He specializes in hematology-oncology (cancer and blood disorders). He has clinical interests in acute and chronic leukemias, including myelodysplastic syndrome and myeloproliferative neoplasms, transplantation and cellular therapy. He is chief of the Leukemia Division at Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute and director of the Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Program at Levine Cancer Institute.
