Patient and Family Virtual Support Groups

Virtual and Local patient-focused groups play an important role in the lives of bone marrow failure bone marrow failure: A condition that occurs when the bone marrow stops making enough healthy blood cells.

The most common of these rare diseases are aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH). Bone marrow failure can be acquired (begin any time in life) or can be… patients. Connection, engagement, comfort, and compassion from peers can be hard to find for people with rare disorders. Support Groups are social settings that provide a level of mutual support that can make all the difference in a patient’s ability to cope and adapt.
