Dr. Olson's clinical efforts focus on pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), with a specific emphasis on HSCT for patients with inherited and acquired bone marrow failure. Through his combined clinical activities in the Bone Marrow Failure Center within the Division of Hematology and the Blood and Marrow Transplant Section within the Division of Oncology, his goal is to facilitate outstanding care for patients with inherited bone marrow failure and acquired aplastic anemia during their transition from diagnostic evaluation to treatment through HSCT. Dr. Hofmann Zhang, a UW Health pediatrician, who specializes in pediatric bone marrow transplant and hematology, first established her research and clinical career in the Northeast. Following her medical school experience – MD from Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg, Germany, in 2000 – Hofmann completed her pediatric residency at the University of California in San Francisco. Upon completion of her residency, Hofmann began a prolific stint in pediatric hematology and oncology at the Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at Harvard Medical School, and in

Dr. Hanna is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric hematology-Oncology. He earned his medical degree from Aleppo University Faculty of Medicine in Aleppo, Syria. His post-graduate training in USA includes a pediatric residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and a pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Jodi Mayfield is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell research at the University of New Mexico. She received her MD from the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in 2008. She is currently a member of the American Society of Hematology and the Children's Oncology Group.
