Dr. Catherine Lee will provide a comprehensive overview of chronic and acute graft vs host disease ("GvHD") which is a complication of bone marrow transplant. While some patients have very mild GvHD, many patients have more severe and long term disease. Dr. Lee will discuss pre-transplant prevention and post-transplant management of GvHD.
Dr. Lai's clinical expertise is in Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BMT). She specializes in autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplants for the treatment of malignant and benign hematologic diseases in adult patients. She conducts her research in the Medicine Division of Hematology/BMT at the Huntsman Cancer Center.
Sioban Keel, M.D., is a board certified hematologist at SCCA and a UW associate professor of Hematology and Medicine.
The Global PNH Patient Registry is a collaborative effort between the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation (AAMDSIF) and the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD®) to study PNH.

Only a few days after a Complete Blood Count, Christy, Hailey's mom, heard these words from Hailey’s doctor. Hailey had just started kindergarten.
At summer dance camp, Hailey won the award for “Most Tired.” That puzzled her mom. As kindergarten progressed, Christy noticed the fatigue. She assumed that kindergarten must be exhausting for children. Christmas was approaching when she noticed Hailey’s bruises, in odd places on her body.
