Allogeneic regulatory T cell immunotherapy with HSPC and T cells-vldq

Brand Name
Tregzi

Tregzi is the first regulatory T (Treg) cell-based immunotherapy for improving chronic graft-versus-host disease (GVHD): Also called GVHD, it is a common complication of bone marrow/stem cell transplantation. It is caused when the donor's immune cells, now in the patient, begin to see the the patient's body as foreign and mount an immune response. GVHD most commonly effects the recipient's skin, intestines, or liver… -free survival in adult patients with blood cancers undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT).

It is an allogeneic regulatory T cell: see lymphocyte -based immunotherapy with hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells and T cells indicated for use in matched donor hematopoietic stem cell transplantation with myeloablative preparative regimen, for hematopoietic and immunologic reconstitution and to improve chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD)-free survival, in the treatment of adults with hematological malignancies. Tregzi addresses an important unmet need in transplantation, where curing the blood cancer is often only part of the challenge; avoiding chronic GVHD is equally important for long-term outcomes.
