Texas Walk Committee

The Texas Hope, Steps & A Cure Walks are extremely fun and successful events – and are organized by AAMDSIF volunteers, patients and families like yourself! A wonderful group of Texas volunteers works together throughout the year to plan this annual event. What inspires them to volunteer? Why do they generously give up their free time to work on the walk? They all wanted to get involved and give back because they feel it’s important to do this work. Learn more about the walk committee members and about their loved ones who inspire them to help raise awareness for bone marrow failure bone marrow failure: A condition that occurs when the bone marrow stops making enough healthy blood cells. The most common of these rare diseases are aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH).
