How many people are diagnosed with aplastic anemia each year?
Aplastic anemia can strike people of any age, race, and gender. But it is more common among children, teenagers and also among older adults. It is also more likely to occur in people of Asian heritage. Between 600 and 900 people are diagnosed with aplastic anemia each year in the United States.
