Dr. Jessie Lee Ann Alexander is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric hematologist hematologist: (hee-muh-TOL-uh-jist) A doctor who specializes in treating blood diseases and disorders of blood producing organs. -oncologist who specializes in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy for children with hematologic and oncologic disorders. She is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Pediatrics Stem Cell Transplantation at Stanford University School of Medicine and a member of the Maternal & Child Health Research Institute (MCHRI).
Dr. Alexander completed her pediatric residency at Stanford University’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at the University of Minnesota. She later pursued an advanced fellowship in bone marrow transplant bone marrow transplant: A bone marrow transplant (BMT) is also called a stem cell transplant (SCT) or hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT).The procedure replaces unhealthy blood-forming stem cells with healthy ones and offers some patients the possibility of a cure.
