Congratulations to volunteer organizers, Chair Dorothy Zajac and committee members Eiler Marcher, Maggie Zajac-Guindi, and Peter Guindi, on a very successful walk! The inaugural South River Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk/5K Run was held at Sunday, June 8 in the town of South River. The 5K run started at 10:30 am and the walk began at 11:00 am on a course around the town of South River.
After patients, families, and friends finished their event, every participant received a Bravery bracelet and refreshments. Group and team pictures were taken to commemorate the day’s celebrations. The finish line festivities focused on remembering loved ones, celebrating the top fundraisers, sharing moments with friends and families, and making new friends with the promise of meeting again next year to walk for a cure!
