Dr. Olatoyosi Sobulo Odenike is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Chicago. She received her medical degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, her residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and hematology/oncology fellowship training from the University of Chicago. Her research is focused on the clinical and translational investigation of novel therapeutic agents for patients with myeloid neoplasia, including acute myeloid leukemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms and myelodysplastic syndromes. She has authored several early phase trials focused on this patient population. She is actively involved in, and has served on committees of several national and international organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and the Alliance, a NCI-sponsored clinical trials cooperative group. She has been an invited speaker at numerous national conferences, has served on the editorial board and as a peer reviewer for several medical journals. She is a member of the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation Medical Advisory Board and also serves as a member of an NIH study section.
