AA&MDSIF publishes an expanding group of newsletters in print and electronic format, all with the goal of keeping patients, families and health professionals up-to-date on research and medical advances, inspirational patient stories, our educational and awareness events and much more.

Insider: Published several times a year, this 16 to 20 page, bound color newsletter includes medical research news, patient and professional education, plus our awareness events and advocacy activities. It’s available in print and electronic format.

eInsider: Our monthly electronic newsletter also covers the entire AA&MDSIF program as well as outside events and information of interest to patients. The newsletter email contains  an introduction to an article, with the complete article residing on a landing page. This convenient format allows readers to access the content of most interest right away. This newsletter is only produced in electronic format.

Health Professionals’ eInsider: The latest addition to our newsletter line, this electronic newsletter for community hematologists and oncologists contains news and information on research, opportunities and activities for professional development, topics of interest to nurses, a summary of patient materials that doctors can obtain for their offices, and updates on the literature.

MDS Connection:  Every issue of this special 4 page color newsletter created for our largest audience (MDS patients, families, caregivers and friends) has an interview with an MDS expert on a topic of interest to patients, families and other health professionals. Inside, an MDS patient tells their own stories in their own words, giving advice and encouragement to all patients, whether newly diagnosed or an MDS survivor.

Patient Education Materials: Educational packets are mailed, free of charge, to all patients and families, health professionals and media.  Packets include a disease-specific basic guide, as well as booklets on living well with bone marrow failure disease and informational fact sheets.
