A One-Day Conference for MDS Patients and Their Families

This FREE one-day MDS conference for patients and their family members is a collaborative effort between the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AA&MDSIF) and the Moffitt Cancer Center. Participants will learn the latest on the diagnosis and treatment of MDS from leading experts in the field. Information on how to optimize your emotional health during all phases of the disease will also be included. Patients will have plenty of time to ask questions of the experts. We strongly encourage you to attend if you or your loved one has been diagnosed with MDS within the last few years. 

At the conclusion of this one-day MDS conference, you can expect to  have a better understanding of: 
  • Diagnostic tests and procedures an MDS patient may undergo
  • Treatment options currently available to patients with MDS
  • The things you or your loved one can do to help maintain emotional health during all phases of the illness
  • How to be better prepared to talk to your doctor about MDS and its treatment

When is the conference?
Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM.  Breakfast and lunch are complimentary for registrants.   

Where will the conference be?
The conference is being held in the Vincent A. Stabile Research Building (SRB) at Moffitt Cancer Center. Moffitt Cancer Center is located in north Tampa on the campus of the University of South Florida, at the corner of Magnolia and West Holly.
