Aplastic Anemia Update: Understanding New and Emerging Therapies

WHAT: Join us for this FREE 1½ hour educational and networking event for aplastic anemia patients and their family members. Learn about new and exciting developments in the treatment of aplastic anemia from Dr. Ronald Paquette, a physician and researcher at UCLA Medical Center who specializes in treating patients with bone marrow failure disorders, including aplastic anemia. Plenty of time will provided to answer your questions and to meet and talk to other patients and their families.
WHEN: Saturday, September 26th from 4:30 – 6:00 PM. Registration will begin at 4:00 PM and doors will open at 4:15 PM. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

DIRECTIONS: From the 405 Freeway take the Sunset Boulevard exit EAST. Enter the UCLA campus at Bellagio Drive (right turn). Turn left on De Neve Drive and follow this around to the Sunset Village (SV) parking area on the right. Signs will be posted on campus to direct conference participants to the SV parking area. See Map.
PARKING: Conference parking is free at the Sunset Village (SV) parking area. This parking area is located under the Covel Commons building. Signage on campus will direct conference participants to the parking area. Parking attendants will be on hand to provide additional parking instructions and direct conference participants to the Grand Horizon Room.
MORE ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Dr. Ronald Paquette is a physician and researcher at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center who treats patients with hematologic disorders including aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, leukemias and lymphomas. Dr. Paquette's research is funded by the National Institutes of Health. He conducts his research as a member of the Idiopathic Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome and Cytopenia Clinical Research Consortia. As a member of these consortia, he helps collect historical and clinical information from patients to investigate the causes of these disorders and better understand the problems encountered by patients.
