Application
The Program
Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation has established the Harry Carson Scholarship Program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college, university or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for study at an accredited institution of the student's choice.
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America. Scholarship Management Services is the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, or national origin. Interested students must complete the application and mail it along with a current, complete transcript of grades and a physician's letter to Scholarship Management Services postmarked no later than February 15, 2008. Eligibility
Applicants to the Harry Carson Scholarship Program must:
- Be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, vocational-technical school, or graduate school, and
- Have rare bone marrow failure: Aplastic Anemia, MDS, PNH. A physician's letter stating the applicant's diagnoses will be required.
Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to eight (8) awards will be granted each year. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study only.
